Meetups
Crypto 'N Coffee at Kaladi Brothers on Brayton, every other Saturday at noon. Coffee on us. No agenda. Stay 10 minutes or stay all afternoon. Your call.
We're a small volunteer crew running coffee meetups, workshops, and the occasional advocacy push. The goal is simple: make Alaska a place where the average person can learn about crypto without getting scammed, and where builders have a community that doesn't make them feel like they're working in a vacuum.
We started AKCC because Alaska needed a place where curious newcomers, builders, and long-timers could actually meet, not just argue on X. We also think Alaska should have a voice on national policy that affects every wallet, miner, and dev up here.
That's why we're the official Stand With Crypto chapter for Alaska. It's why every meetup is free, and why beginners are always welcome.

The Genesis Block series at UAA. Hands-on intros to wallets, self-custody, and how blockchain actually works. Hosted with the CS Club at UAA.
Through Stand With Crypto, we plug Alaskans into national campaigns that affect wallets, exchanges, and builders. No spam, only when something real is happening.
Crypto isn't a hypothetical here. A few of the things already happening across the state:
Money transmitter regs
In January 2023, the Alaska legislature amended the state's money transmitter rules to include virtual currency. An early step toward bringing crypto into formal regulatory frameworks.
Blockchain in the Blue Economy
The Alaska Blue Economy Center has explored blockchain for fish supply-chain transparency. Juneau-based Certified Quality Foods is already storing seafood provenance data on-chain.
Stranded-energy mining pilots
Hilcorp and a Texas tech firm have been piloting Bitcoin mining at the Endicott oil field. Testing whether stranded energy can run a data center on the North Slope.

AKCC is run by volunteers from the Anchorage community and the CS Club at UAA. If you want to help host an event, run a workshop, or photograph meetups, get in touch.
We work with national orgs and Alaska partners to keep events open, free, and substantive. So builders here aren't shouting into the void.
